Last Friday I received a best in-depth story award from the first Minnesota Ethnic and Community Media Awards for a two-part series published in the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder, called “Striving for Inclusion,” about the lack of diversity in the state’s court system. I also received honorable mention in the community service category for a story about Minneapolis’ Neighborhood Revitalization Program that was published in The Bridge newspaper.
